Come to Bloem Show this year and experience the fun with family and friends. This year’s Bloem Show brings much excitement to the City of Roses. #ILoveBloemShow! will reflect this year’s Bloem Show theme from 27th of April to 7th of May 2016.

It promises to be one of the highlights on the social calendar of, especially Bloemfontein, and the entire central region. Visitors can look forward to live performances by some of our best artists, a variety of exhibitors and a packed agricultural program.

More than 100,000 people visit the ten day show annually. Bloem Show attracts visitors from all over the country, as well as an average of 400 local, national and international exhibitors - a great economic boost for the central region of South Africa.

Entertainment on the Pick ‘n Pay stage includes Adam Tas, Lollos, Matthew Mole, Parlotones, Kurt Darren, Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels, Corlea Botha and Karlien van Jaarsveld.

The popular Miss Windmill Bloem show will also take place on 28th of April 2016.

Bloem Show will once again close off with a show stopping concert. It’s the 10 year anniversary of the “Last Day Music Festival” and Bloem Show has joined forces with MotheoFM and Castle Light to bring you the soulful sounds of LESEGO (20:00) and the popular gospel icon SIPHOKAZI (21:00). The starstudded program will commence at 14:00 in the Vertical Signs main arena, and visitors can expect to dance the night away.

On top of the exceptional entertainment program, the following events should not be missed:

  • Extreme bag jumping from an 11m tower - daily at Vertical Signs 4x4 track @ R50p.p.
  • Extreme show with cycle- & motorcycle jumping on the 27th, 29th, 30th of April and 1st, 2nd & 7th of May 2016 (10:30 & 14:30) at the 4x4 Obstacle Course. Daily demonstrations and test driving will take place at 11h00 & 15h00.
  • Sheep festival 30th of April, with a variety of sheep meat dishes @ R110p.p.- tickets @ Computicket.
  • SA Strongman & SA Crossfit competitions Saturday, 30th of April 2016 at the Ayrshire ring next to the 4x4 Track (10:00-16:00), categories are under 90kg and under 105kg.
  • Skating area; bring along your skate board or hire one! Exciting skating area.
  • Kiddies “Inflatable City”. Come play and jump with!
  • Bloem Show Talent Search in conjunction with Computicket, Pacofs and KovsieFM: Auditions: Sat 5 th of March @Pacofs (registrations until 13:00), voting concert: Thursday 29th of April @Clover Stage, Bloem Show (17:30-19:00) & final concert: Thursday 4th of May @ Clover Stage, Bloem Show (18:00 – 19:00).
  • Dairy Corporation milk hour - every day at the Milk Parlour at 17:30 – milking cows and milk tasting.
  • Sunday lunch cooked by Theunie Kloppers – Sunday, 1st of May 2016 @ BKB Hall, book 082 394 6747.
  • Farm Stall exhibition daily, Kiddies cupcake decorating @ R5 on the 27th of April (10:00 & 15:00), Coffee demonstrations with coffee and a cupcake @ R10 on 2nd of May (10:00 & 15:00), Shearing demonstrations 1st – 7th of May (10:00 – 16:00).
  • Father & Child BRAAI on Saturday, 30th of April 2016 (10:00-13:30) Vertical Signs 4 x 4 Track. Registrations to take place beforehand on the Bloem Show website. Applications close on the 22nd of April 2016.
  • Fun walk @ Bloem Show by Ola & Radio Rosestad on Monday, 2nd of May 2016, from 11h00 in front of the Daisy Hall. Registrations to take place beforehand on the Bloem Show website. Participation limited to the first 200 registrations. Free entry once admitted into show grounds. Free ice cream and medal at the finish line!
  • Clover Cook! On Sunday, 1st of May 2016 (13:00-15:00). Demonstrations by Koekedoor Mareli & Kokkedoor Tiaan (10:30) and with kiddies chef competition (13:00). Registrations to take place beforehand on the Bloem Show website. Applications close on the 22nd of April 2016.
  • National Jack Russel show – Saturday, 7th of May 2016.
  • Funfair - buy tickets BEFORE 27th of April 2016 @ 50% discount, www.computicket.co.za.
  • "CMW/OVK Back to Back" - Shearing, spinning & knitting competition on 30th of April 2016, (09:00 – 15:00).
  • Creative Crafts Section – the largest in SA, ± 2949 entries. Demonstrations - weaving, patchwork, quilting & creative knitwear. Applications close 30th of March 2016.
  • Vodacom train – routes around the showground. Tickets @ R10 each, includes free ice-cream.
  • Pet Hall - wild birds, chickens, cage-birds, parrots, fancy pigeons & zoo.

**Complimentary beer or cold drink when entering the arena, only valid for paid admissions.

Tickets are available prior to the show from Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper or online at www.computicket.co.za. SAMBA, debit, and credit cards are accepted at all sales points.

Gates are open daily for admission between 08:00-20:00, except for Sunday - closing time will be at 17:00 and Saturday 7th of May at 22:00.

Trading hours in the exhibition halls will be from 10:00 to 20:30 daily. On Sunday 1st of May 2016, trading hours will be from 10:00 to 17:00 and on the last Saturday, 7th of May 2016 from 10:00 to 19:00.

All activities at Bloem show will close daily at 22h00, except on Friday, Saturdays and public holidays that it will close at 23h00. On Sunday, 1 May 2016 activities will close at 19h00.

Parking at the show ground is free. The following areas can be used for parking: the southern side (gravel parking area at the main gate, above Fruit & Veg City), in front of the Showgate Centre, in front of Builders Warehouse, in front of Mega Park on the northern side near the railway line and on the eastern side from the entrance to the Womens’ Memorial. Car guards will be present and the Police mounted unit will do duty amongst the cars. You are also welcome to use the parking along the railway line in Nico van der Merwe Avenue or at the Women’s Memorial entrance.

Bloem Show has an information office and first aid services which are easily accessible. The first aid service is provided by ER24 during the show. These services are conveniently situated in the main pedestrian avenue.

In order to ensure that visitors to the show enjoy a pleasant visit, all visitors are requested to note that persons with firearms, pets and/or alcohol will not be permitted to enter.

Make sure that you receive a free Bloem Show program at the entrance gates. During Bloem Show, the Bloem Show information office will also be assisting visitors with any queries they may have. The information office is located just behind the Clover Stage.
